Jewish Climate Initiative/Climate of Change’s Rabbi Julian Sinclair’s speaking tour in the States continues for one more weekend:
Tonight (Friday night), he’ll be leading a Tu B’Shvat Seder at Kesher Israel in Washington DC (2801 N St NW), and will be speaking tomorrow (Saturday) at Tiferet Israel, also in DC (7701 16th St NW), during Shabbat lunch, beginning at 1 pm.
For all those in the New York area, Rabbi Sinclair will be speaking on Sunday night, at Hazon’s Tu B’shvat Seder at Manhatten’s JCC. Rabbi Sinclair recently told us about taking part in a Turkey slaughter at the Hazon Food Conference, and although this Sunday night will be a bit more vegetation-based (Tu B’Shevat is the Jewish calendar’s New Year of the trees)- the event promises to be no less exciting.
Also- for those voting in Israel this coming week, Green Movement-Meimad blogger Daniel Orenstein recently gave us a good explanation for the merger between the two parties. Thanks Daniel! And good luck this week (We’ll be rooting for you).
Shabbat Shalom,
I'm Julian, Co-Founder of
